Jokes @ The Joynt on December 8^th gives the best local Stand-Up Comics an opportunity to showcase their talent for a new TV show called “After Dark with Joe Piscopo”

CHICAGO, ILL – December, 2009 – A new variety series for TV hosted by SNL alum Joe Piscopo is slated to shoot early next year at The Joynt in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.   The show will feature some of today’s best Artists from all genres of entertainment including music, comedy, theatre and film.  The Joynt co-owner Stan Wozniak and Piscopo have known each other for many years so filming his new project there seemed only natural.  Piscopo’s deep roots in stand-up comedy lend to his desire to feature comedians on After Dark and the audition showcase on the 8^th will allow him to take a good look at the talent Chicago has to offer.  Approximately 8-10 Comics will perform 6-8 minute sets which will be viewed directly by Joe.

The first installment of Jokes @ The Joynt begins with first-come first-serve seating at 7:00 pm allowing guests to partake of the venue’s excellent food and beverage menu.  The Retro Room downstairs at The Joynt features plush booths and an intimate atmosphere.  A limited amount of discounted tickets for Comic friends/family/fans as available on this page are only $7 AND INCLUDE A DRINK!; also a select number of tickets will be available at the door for $20.
